New AIR for the Archaeological Process? The use of 3D web Semantic for Publishing Archaeological Reports

The management of archaeological excavation data has been the subject scientific debate in last decades: critical elements have identified, such as maintaining analytical and derived knowledge entangled, other relevant aspects, like curation, accessibility, long-term preservation, emerged. This study describes, illustrates, evaluates use Archaeological Interactive Report (AIR), a cutting-edge information system designed to manage that is oriented toward 3D web semantics. AIR platform for recording investigations live, an online archive incorporates complete dataset investigations, multimedia visualization providing environment analysis assemblages, testing interpretation hypotheses, publishing dynamic editorialization outputs. applied evaluated within case Västra Vång (southeastern Sweden), demonstrating it possible flexible ontological model tailored archaeologists’ needs.
